Is it now a trend to break the news of someone’s death before they actually die?

Tv Girl and Singer Kambua has today recalled how KOT ‘killed’ her father before he actually died.

Her memory was triggered by today’s incident of the fake death news of the ailing Kibera MP Ken Okoth.

The source of this news could however not be verified as it spread across various social media platforms.

The Kibera MP gave his response to counter this news and clarified that he is still alive and kicking.

Is this new? Well not quite Kenyans on twitter have in most instances been so quick to share information without waiting for it to be verified.

In reaction to this, Kambua says that it is sad that social media can kill you and bury you while you are still alive.

Kambua also apologized to Ken Okoth for the mess and revealed that 5 years before her father died, social media had killed him too.

Kambua says that when the news broke claiming his father was dead, people sent them condolences messages yet his father was alive.

She hopes that people will get to learn to relay information responsibly to avoid such instances.

Singer Kambua also sent her prayer to the Kibera MP who opened up about his battle with stage 4 cancer earlier this year.
