A sixth year student at Moi University, School of Medicine has been hacked to death a few steps from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The lady is said to have been closing the road when a man suddenly arose from nowhere and hacked her on the head leaving her with fatal head injuries.
The man was then lynched by boda boda operators within the area.
He is now in the casualty department with grave injuries too.
The back story is that the two have been lovers, constantly dating in the past. It is said that the lady had been cheating on the guy with other people leading the lady to contracting HIV/AIDS and later infecting the boyfriend, knowingly.
Reports indicate that after contracting the incurable and deadly virus, the lady did not inform the guy and kept taking Anti-Retroviral drugs to stay healthy unbeknownst to the guy.
Later, the boyfriend found out that the lady had been cheating on him and to add salt to injury, she had contracted him with the deadly virus. Overcame with rage and anger, the infected boyfriend went on a murder spree on daylight.
