Governor Waiguru’s warm message to aspiring ‘twin’ governor Anne Mvurya

Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru, who resembles University of Nairobi students’ leader Ann Mvurya has finally send her congratulatory message on her historic win. Mvurya was declared UNSA’s chair on Sunday, April 7.

In separate Twitter and Facebook messages, the governor termed Mvurya’s victory as a win for all women.

“Celebrating another first for women in leadership in Kenya. Congratulations to Anne Mwangi Mvurya on being elected the first female chair of the University of Nairobi Student Association. We are proud of your victory,” she said.

Kenyans were, however, blown away by the elephant in the room which is the striking similarity between Waiguru and the UNSA chair.

Most of the governor’s followers even suggested the pair were either long lost sisters or a mother-daughter duo.

The 24-year-old student leader could easily pass as a younger version of the popular leader.

Funny thing is, the identical duo even shares a first name. Talk of the world being small!
