‘Everyone Saw How Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil Reacted Badly Vs Everton’

Arsenal’s top four hopes suffered a setback on Sunday at Everton.

Marco Silva’s side recorded their fifth clean sheet in the league in six games during a 1-0 home win.

Phil Jagielka, who only came into the Everton XI just before kick-off after Michael Keane had to pull out through illness, scored the only goal of the game after 10 minutes.

That was Jagielka’s first goal in the league for almost two years.

Arsenal could have overtaken Tottenham to move into third had they won.

Instead, Arsenal are fourth in the table on 63 points.

Mesut Ozil reacted badly after Everton
Is Unai Emery regretting making Mesut Ozil his captain at Everton?

Ozil returned to the Arsenal XI in an away fixture on Sunday.

However the German World Cup winner had a poor performance against the Toffees.

Indeed, Ozil’s biggest impact on the game happened once he’d exited the game.

Alex Iwobi replaced Ozil in the 74th minute.

Towards the end of the match, they was a clash on the sidelines between the rival managers. The spark was a danger tackle by Shkodran Mustafi on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

During the touchline exchanges, Ozil threw his coat towards the respective managers.

It was act of petulance which is hardly likely to curry any favour in north London.

So why did Ozil throw his coat?

What point was the German trying to make?

Those questions were posed to Arsenal’s manager after the game.
