KFCB strategy to counter moral decay in society

Kenya Film Classification board has reiterated its commitment in fighting against moral decay in the society.

KFCB will work with like-minded organisations that support their clean content campaign in reversing the wave of moral decay and obscene content in the country.

Earlier today, team KFCB at the ongoing Kenya National Drama and Film Festival 2019 in Bungoma joined worshipers of The Word of Life Christian Fellowship Church as part of community sensitization on the Board’s regulatory mandate and media literacy program.

The Board’s Clean Content Ambassadors, Comedians @mchungachi & @mtumishimtumis2, took the opportunity to create awareness on clean content campaign that aims to protect children from exposure to inappropriate content & ‘You Are What You Consume’ Media Literacy Program.

The Board has also provided a platform for the youth to showcase their talents in fields such as music, dance, spoken word, and comedy.

Through Sinema Mashinani, KFCB continues to seek opportunities to engage locals in appreciating content made by Kenyans and in Kenya. This will go a long way in enlarging the market for local content and talent.

Bungoma county will this year be hosting the Kenya National Drama festival for the first time and the theme is promoting Moral responsibility among youth through theatre and film

As a County, Bungoma reiterated its commitment to continue to better the environment to support and grow talents to better our pillar of our culture is our Heritage.

The theme of this years Drama Festival is also strategically to create awareness and promote values that will have positive impact to the society.
