Coutinho Finally Rubbishes Man United, Chelsea Speculation

Philippe Coutinho is not interested in returning to the Premier League despite his Barcelona struggles.

The Brazil international left Liverpool to move to the Nou Camp back in January 2018 for an initial £105m.

But he has failed to establish himself in Spain, partially because of his ‘cursed house’.

Coutinho was the red herring of the January transfer window as Manchester United and Chelsea were both linked with a move that suited all parties involved.

Yet the player himself – who would reportedly turn United down because of his Liverpool past – has openly rubbished the speculation.

“My head is exclusively in Barcelona. Returning to England now does not fit into my plans,” he told the Sunday Mirror.

“This is my second season here. I have won titles but I am always an ambitious and demanding player. So, I want more and more.

“But I’m happy. I wanted to play in Spain and I’m at the best club in Spain.”
