First time father worries; Prince Harry exited about the birth of his first kid

Prince Harry and his wife Merghan Markle are currently probably the most watched celebrity couple in the world owing to the fact that they royal couple are expecting their first kid.

The Harry’s have since moved to a new location and house in readiness for the new child and looked tense in Guildhall for the Lord Mayor’s 12th annual Big Curry Lunch when he stopped by to talk to a mother of a kid where he asked some questions.

Father-to-be Prince Harry today told well-wishers of his excitement as the birth of his first child with Meghan approaches.

Harry arrived at London’s Guildhall for the Lord Mayor’s 12th annual Big Curry Lunch, when he stopped to speak to four-year-old girl Zofia Zdenkowska.

The Duke of Sussex knelt down to speak to the pigtailed Zofia, who presented him with a bouquet of flowers before offering him a timid handshake.

Harry, 34, and his wife Meghan Markle, 37, are expecting their first child later this months.

At the charity lunch today, the 34-year-old said he was “of course excited, very excited” about the new addition to the family. The prince was presented with cashmere booties, mittens, a bonnet and a shawl, as he mingled among former and currently serving soldiers and officers.

At a separate engagement in west London yesterday, the prince was described as making a “beeline” for a three-month-old baby and her mother.

“He was so excited and happy about the baby,” the child’s mother, Maria Ahmad, said of Harry’s imminent fatherhood, adding that he seemed worried about his future sleep schedule.

“He was asking about her sleeping I think he’s worried about that – and if she sleeps at night time,” Ms Ahmad told Harpers Bazaar.

Funds for this year’s Big Curry Lunch, which has raised more than £1.9 million since 2008, will go to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. Some of the proceeds will go towards helping veterans manage chronic pain and find work.

Speaking from the Guildhall’s Great Hall, General Sir Mike Jackson said: “It is wonderful that the duke gives his time to support us at ABF and now all the armed forces charities.

“He helps bring people together and his presence makes a real difference to veterans and his ex-comrades.”

Among the guests at the buffet meal was Harry’s former comrade Mark Stevens, who served in Afghanistan during the prince’s two tours of duty there.

Harry spent ten years serving in the armed forces, ending his operational duties in 2015.

Along with meeting guests, Guildhall staff and musicians, Harry was scheduled to visit a commemorative garden designed to mark special partnership with the west London Edward VII hospital.

The Centre for Veterans’ Health at the Edward VII has developed a six-month programme for veterans coping with chronic pain and helping them enter employment.

It was the first engagement of the day for Harry who will later attend the premiere of Sir David Attenborough’s flagship Netflix series Our Planet.

Harry will accompany his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William to the star-studded screening at the Natural History Museum tonight.
