Chelsea Free to Sign Sensational Real Madrid Midfielder

Chelsea were hit with a two-window transfer ban by FIFA in February, which means that they are currently unable to sign players in the next two transfer windows.

Chelsea are attempting to appeal the ban and are hoping to be still able to sign players in the upcoming window, which would allow them to sign Mateo Kovacic on another loan deal or a permanent – if they opted they wanted to.

Mateo Kovacic joined Chelsea on loan from the European champions last summer transfer window, on a deal ending at the end of the current season.

According to reports, the Croatia international is eager to extend his stay in the Premier League and remain at west London club next campaign.

The report claims that Mateo Kovacic has had no promises from the Blues about a permanent deal, which would first require the club to sort out some off-field issues.

But the emergence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek lately will decrease the Croatian’s chances of staying at Stamford Bridge while the Englishman has scored a last-minute winner to beat struggling Cardiff City and the netted against Brighton and Hove Albion to seal the 3-0 win for the struggling Blues.

Maurizio Sarri looks to have reshaped his side as his men do not have time to lose points to weaker clubs and need to maximise their efforts to enter the top four.
