(VIDEO) Raila Defends his Brother Uhuru after Boring Speech

AU envoy Raila Odinga has defended President Kenyatta for not firing anyone in his State of the Nation Address.

Speaking to the media outside Parliament after the address, Raila said it is not the duty of the President to fire anyone.

“I don’t think it is the duty of the president to fire anybody.” said Raila, adding that the function of the address was for the president to preview the what the government is doing.

‘I think in that regard he did very well by highlighting the key issues that affect the life of the people of Kenya.’

The President has been bashed by several Kenyans for failing to crack the whip on Cabinet Secretaries who have been mentioned in the Arror and Kimwarer Dam scandals.

In his speech, Uhuru said he is certain the war on corruption will be won.

It could be Raila is happy with the fact that President said he will not go back on the handshake.
