Things between Uhuru and Ruto are not okay, MP Waluke reveals

There have been speculations that The president and his Deputy president have not been in good terms following President Kenyatta’s mission to fight corruption.

Sirisia MP John Waluke has now come out to confirm that the president and his deputy could in did be going their separate ways.

In his statement while speaking in a TV interview, Waluke said that the two leaders are no longer together.

“In kweli uhusiano kati ya Rais na naibu wake hauko sawasawa maana hawaongei pamoja tena. (Things are not okay between the President and his deputy as they cannot even agree on important issues),” he said.

Waluke said that the growing discord is to be blamed on opposition leader Raila Odinga after March 2018 truce which has been causing confusions in Jubilee.

The MP noted that the President has since switched all his attention to Raila, leaving his deputy and the nation sidelined, resulting in a slowed down development speed and unaddressed issues.

“Uhuru sasa anasonga sana upande wa handshake na kusahau maswala ya kitaifa. Awachane na Raila kidogo (let him not pay too much attention to the handshake and Raila and consider the nation more),” he advised.
