Okoth Obado set to miss ODM Raila Odinga’s event in Migori

Migori Governor Okoth Obado is set to miss ODM leader Raila Odinga’s event in Migori County.

While addressing the issue Obado said that the orders given to him by the court regarding Sharon’s murder barred him from going to Awendo.

“Unfortunately, the orders given by the court in the Sharon Otieno murder case bar me from stepping into Awendo town because of its proximity to Homa Bay County,” remarked Obado.

Odinga is set to be carrying out the groundbreaking ceremony of the Awendo Kenya Medical Training College.

Last month, the Migori County boss had moved to court to request the ban that restricted him from getting 20 kilometers close to Homa Bay County be lifted.

Justice Jessie Lesiit had ruled that the embattled Obado to surrender all his travel documents and not go 20 kilometers close to the boarder of Homa Bay County, where Sharon Otieno’s body was found.

He had also been restricted from getting into contact with any of the witnesses and talking about the case in public.
