Paris Saint-Germain are through to the French Cup final after beating Nantes 3-0.

Thomas Tuchel’s side will face RC Strasbourg, who recently won the Coupe de la Ligue trophy after beating Guingamp on penalties.

The game will be PSG’s last big test of the season, with the Ligue 1 title already a formality.

Aside from their dominance in the league, it hasn’t been the easiest of season’s for PSG, especially after their Champions League elimination at the hands of Manchester United.

The upcoming summer transfer window is a big one for the club, as they need to bolster their squad to enhance their potential in Europe’s premiere competition.

But last night’s performance against a talented Nantes side was yet more proof that PSG are, of course, an immensely strong outfit.

Marco Verratti’s long-range strike and a penalty from Kylian Mbappe – his 33rd goal of the season – effectively sealed the tie, before the legendary Dani Alves produced a moment of magic.

The Brazilian came off the bench in the 77th minute after a period of time out through injury and scored one of the most perfect lobs you will see in stoppage-time.

The guy has certainly still got it.

Neymar’s reaction in the crowd says it all, a goal oozing in Brazilian flair.

Alves has been one of Tuchel’s most important squad members this season despite a number of niggling injuries.

The former Barcelona and Juventus star has had to deputise in a number of unfamiliar roles, including in central midfield and as an out-and-out winger.

His days learning at Barca and love of going forward anyway make him perfectly suited to both roles, but his versatility is still impressive.

And with his ridiculous fitness levels, Alves certainly has a couple of years left in the tank at PSG.
