Why Arsenal Dad is offering £3,000 for anyone who will Hypnotise 6-year-old Spurs-Supporting Son

When it comes to footballing rivalries, it’s never going to end well with family members supporting different teams under the same roof.

Let’s face it: it’s never going to be a nice experience sharing a meal after, say, Manchester City beat Manchester United, Celtic defeat Rangers or Tottenham Hotspur picking up a win over rivals Arsenal (or vice versa!).

Speaking of the Gunners, one fan was not happy with his son being a Spurs supporter.

In fact, he was so disappointed by his six-year-old son’s choice to break the family tradition of supporting Arsenal that he would be willing to pay up to £3,000 for treatment.

That’s right, the dad wanted a hypnotist to make his child become a Gunners fan, but when nobody stepped forward to help him out, the father allowed Bark to make a public appeal for support.

“I’ve got a bit of a weird problem… after Harry Kane won the Golden Boot at the World Cup, my son started talking about supporting Spurs,” he wrote.

“I saw a video about a year ago of a hypnotist, not sure who it was, making an Arsenal and Spurs fans at the pub think that they support the opposite team, and I want to do that to my son.

“I recently got a bit of a bonus from work and for the hypnotist who manages to do this I’ve got around £3,000 waiting for them.

“I haven’t told my wife, figured it’ll be easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

“I know this is a bit of a mad thing to ask, but I just really want to be able to enjoy every weekend with my son watching football, and even though I will if he turns out to be a Spurs fan, it would be better if we could go to games and share memories together.”

Yeah, the ‘not telling my wife’ part probably won’t end well…

At least the dad had the last laugh after the latest round of Premier League fixtures, with Spurs suffering a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Arsenal picked up a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Monday, which allowed Unai Emery’s men to climb up to third place in the league.

However, Héctor Bellerín didn’t pass up the opportunity to poke fun at Spurs during the Arsenal match.
