United Boss Explains Why He Did Not Feature Key Players Against Wolves

Manchester United Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out to state reason why some Marcus Rashford and Ander Herreira were not featured in the game against Watford.

Rashford, who picked up an injury over the international break, played against Watford on the weekend but has sustained an ankle problem – a different issue to the one he had before. His replacement, Romelu Lukaku, had a poor game at the Molineux.

Herrera, currently heavily linked with Paris Saint Germain, also featured against Watford. The nature of his injury is unknown.

Man United once again looked lethargic up against the counter-attacking efficiency of Wolves and, without Rashford, their lack of movement up front was the chief source of frustration. It almost felt like United under Mourinho, pushing full-backs high and bouncing it in to Lukaku with terrible results.

Solskjaer now has a full week to prepare for Barcelona. He will need the duo back and, more importantly, need his team to play with greater conviction.
