Ngilu pleads with Orengo to end DP Ruto’s impeachment plan

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has urged elected leaders to stop the politics of impeaching Deputy President William Ruto.

While speaking in a local radio interview the Ms Ngilu pleaded with Siaya Governor James Orengo to stop the impeachment plan.

Her statement came after Orengo insisted on taking the motion to the House to have the DP impeached claiming he was not eligible to hold public office.

Ngilu further asked Orengo and other opposition leaders to end their political war with DP Ruto and stop are wasting time engaging in non-issues.

“Elected leaders across the political divide must drop their hard political differences and unite on development,” she said.

She further noted that the handshake between president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga was meant to bring peace and harmony in the country.

She urged Kenyans to remain united and shun leaders who she accused of trying to  plant seeds of discord.
