Kenya Remembers 147 Souls That Perished In Garissa Terror Attack-2nd April 2015

Today marks fours years since the Deadly Garissa university terror attack in 2nd April 2015 occurred. Kenyans have taken some time to remember the souls that perished in the event.

Through social media Netizens have shared emotional messages in memory of the victims.

The attack left 147 people dead and several maimed. It was such a blow to Kenya at large not to mention families who lost their loved ones in the event.

Gun-wielding terrorists stormed the campus hostels and shot at students indiscriminately killing many, holding some hostage.

The worst moments were those when the students were shot while making calls to relatives, friends and guardians. The fellows could hear the gunshots robbing them their loved ones from the other end! that was the end!

Terror group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility of the attack. 

After the dreaded attack, the institution, a satellite campus of Moi University, was shut down indefinitely. It was later reopened in January 2016 with a small number going back while others being transferred to Moi University, Main Campus. 

Since then many universities have put all-around safety security measures to curb such Incidents
