DPP Haji gives an update on Arror dam scandal – It is thorough

Kenyans are still nursing shock injuries weeks after reports indicated that taxpayers had lost Ksh21 billion in the March Arror-Kimwarer dams scandal.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, ODPP is keenly investigating this case and has o Tuesday issued an update on the same.

Through its official twitter handle, the ODPP urged Kenyans to be patient as the anti-graft agency is still waiting for a report from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, DCI.

“The DPP wishes to inform the public that the @dci_ke has not yet handed over the investigation file in respect to Arror and Kimwarer Dams, investigations are ongoing.” stated the ODPP.

In a statement seen by Daily Active, the ODPP further revealed that the investigations are complex in nature and involve various Countries.

“There is a high number of persons of interest who are currently being interviewed and recording statements,” ODPP stated.

“Once investigations are complete, the public shall be informed accordingly.” concluded the statement.

Several Cabinet Secretaries have also been grilled concerning the mega corruption deal that lost billions of shillings.
