Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was covering the game for Sky Sports and while all cameras were on Salah celebrating, the former Reds defender couldn’t hide his emotion.

Liverpool secured a massive win over Tottenham on Sunday afternoon thanks to a 90th-minute own goal from Toby Alderweireld.
It was made by Trent Alexander-Arnold, who clipped a cross into the box which Mohamed Salah met at the back post.
His header was parried out by Hugo Lloris into the path of Alderweireld, who could do nothing but watch the ball ricochet off him and into the net – right in front of the Kop.

Cue pandemonium at Anfield. Salah wheeled away to celebrate and was mobbed by his teammates while the home fans went wild.
The scenes on the pitch were clear to see, and it was just as obvious that a certain someone was enjoying himself in the commentary box too.
Carragher’s actions were always going to divide football supporters. If you’re a Liverpool fan, you’ll absolutely love the passion and emotion he showed yesterday.
If you support any other team, the chances are you think Carra was very unprofessional – after all, he is supposed to be an impartial commentator and pundit.
Neville, who was also on co-commentary duty, had to try and downplay what had happened and shortly after the goal he responded in tongue-in-cheek fashion by saying:
“A local fan grabbed the microphone and started celebrating, apologies for that!”
But, that appears to be the only apology being made. Because on Monday morning, Carragher came out and suggested he’s got nothing to be sorry for.
“I don’t apologise [for reaction to goal on air] – I’m a massive Liverpool fan and I’m desperate for them to win the league!” he wrote for Sky Sports.
Carragher then went on to suggest that the Reds needed a lot of luck to stay in the title race, but like himself, the players will be buzzing with the win against Spurs.
“Liverpool didn’t play well and were lucky. It was Tottenham that looked more likely to win in the second half but it’s been one of those days for Liverpool,” he continued.
“As a player, you’d be bouncing into that dressing room at Melwood but they’ll know they’d have to improve.
“I can’t say many Liverpudlians were enjoying this. History tells you that to win a title, you have to score late winning goals, and Liverpool have done it so often this season.” Obviously, Carragher is delighted with Sunday’s win – that much was clear at the time. But should he have remained professional and impartial by trying to hide his emotions?
