TOO MUCH SAUCE! Drake marks his London concert entry after O2 Arena changes it’s name

Drizzy begins his week-long London stint tomorrow

Drake‘s track ‘God’s Plan’ has inspired The O2 Arena to temporarily change its name, ahead of the rapper’s seven-night residency at the venue.

The Toronto artist is currently out on the road for the UK and Ireland leg of his ‘Assassination Vacation’ tour, having already stopped off in Manchester, Dublin, and Birmingham.

Due to begin a huge seven nights at London’s O2 today evening (April 1), fans have spotted that the arena has changed its name to The O3 to mark the occasion.

The temporary sign is a nod to Drake’s 2018 single ‘God’s Plan’, taken from his latest album ‘Scorpion‘. “And you know me / Turn the O2 into the O3, dog,” the star raps in the track.

Posting an image of the new signage, one fan tweeted: “Drake has legit turned the o2 into the o3 for his seven dates wtffff”. Another said: “Drake actually turning the o2 into the o3 has made my day.”

Later, the official O2 music Twitter account posted photos along with the caption: “Turn The O2 into The O3. This is God’s Plan.”

Meanwhile, Drake surprised fans in Leicester earlier this week by performing an intimate show at the city’s Club Republic venue. After taking to the stage in the early hours, the rapper aired a number of his biggest hits, including ‘Sicko Mode’, ‘Nonstop’ and ‘God’s Plan’.

Elsewhere, Champagne Papi recently made an appearance at London rapper Loski’s show. He was spotted in the crowd on the balcony at the O2 Forum gig.
