Man Utd Losing Ander Herrera To PSG May Actually Be GOOD News For One SPECIAL Player

Manchester United star Herrera will reportedly end his Premier League adventure to join Ligue 1 giants PSG when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.

The Daily Record claim the Spain international has agreed to leave the club, with the Red Devils reluctant to agree to his wage demands.

Manchester United fans have been quick to take to social media and vent their fury at their failure to retain the services of the player.

But it could actually be a blessing in disguise because United have bigger fish to fry. And one big fish in particular.

David De Gea.

De Gea’s own contract situation at the club is in a dire state. United have left it late to tie him down to a renewal.

The Spaniard’s deal expires in 2020 and he wants pay parity with Alexis Sanchez before committing to another new deal.

Should the Red Devils fail, they risk losing arguably the best goalkeeper in the world for absolutely nothing.

Real Madrid are supposedly back in the race to sign him following the return of Zinedine Zidane as manager.

PSG and Juventus, too, deem him a sufficient upgrade on Wojciech Szczesny and Gianluigi Buffon respectively.

But United have no reason NOT to give him a new deal now.

Herrera going will free up around £130,000 a week if the Daily Record’s claim proves to be correct.

And that money should be used towards a new De Gea deal.

Recent reports have suggested the Spaniard wants £350,000-a-week to stay put.

United, however, would prefer for their No 1 to take home a weekly wage worth £300,000.

But now, there can be no excuses. United have money in the bank and De Gea should be treated as his performances deserve.

In the post-Sir Alex Ferguson years, he has been their shining light.

Their undisputed best and most-special player. Herrera going is fine. But if De Gea goes too? There will be riots.
