The Catholic Church, the oldest, largest Christian denomination has been put on the spot online for allegedly fueling political woes.

In a Twitter blast of the church, started by activist Boniface Mwangi, Kenyans online claimed that the Catholic Church in Kenya especially has been benefiting from the controversial Deputy President without posing any questions on his graft accusations.

“The Catholic church via the Pontifex approves DP Ruto’s corruption. He loots, donates to the church. The Catholic church invites Ruto and accepts stolen money!” Boniface tweeted.

The activist’s tweet sparked mixed reactions, withe several Kenyans online backing the accusation.
