Sour Uganda-Kenya deals; Gatundu MP Moses Kuria slams President Kenyatta for the deals signed

The recent visit of Uganda President Yoweri Mueveni saw a number of deals and agreements sealed by the President and his counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta.

Some of the deals which any believe are only benefiting Uganda included, the export of chicken to Kenya eggs sugar as well a the dry port that the country is going to build in Naivasha.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta following the deal struck with his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni.

Addressing residents at Nyanturago Catholic Church Mosamaro Masaba in Nyamira on Saturday, the MP said the move will undermine local farmers.

He was referring to a deal which will see Kenya import more sugar and eggs from Uganda.

According to him, Kenyan farmers will continue suffering in full glare of the government.

He called on the country’s legislators to re-assess the East African Protocol so that the deal is reversed.

Kuria was accompanied by Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka, Nyamira Senator Okongo omogeni, area MP Vincent Kemosi and other law makers.

Lusaka on his part appealed to the country’s lawmakers to tone down on politics and focus on the Big Four Agenda to improve the lives of Kenyans.

On matters corruption, Nyamira Senator Okongo Omogeni urged the Director of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti to extent the purge to county governments.
