Jesse, a recent graduate of Notre Dame college, turned his attention to wine as he planned his graduate career.

The Bon Jovi clan live in The Hamptons, where rose is the drink of choice, so common as Jesse puts it, ‘that rosé is the water of the Hamptons’.

In an interview with W Magazine, he recounted how sharing this observation with his father lead to the idea of them starting their own wine business.

Within months they were in the south of France, creating rose blends with a dropper alongside winemaker Gérard Bertrand on is vineyard. After creating their perfect blend, Jesse took on marketing duties, leading to Thursday’s launch.

Talking to W magazine, he recalled of his inspiration: ‘One night, like two in the morning, I was sitting on the porch. And my dad came out; he’s always been a big rosé drinker, and he calls it “pink juice.” He goes, “Do you want another glass of pink juice.” And I go, “Dad, listen, you’re in East Hampton, you’re sitting at your beautiful beach house, you’re not drinking pink juice, you’re drinking Hampton water.” And he lit up. He was like, “Oh my god, we might as well put that on a bottle. People would love it.” And we basically ran with it from there.’
