Kisumu County have purchased a cow worth Ksh 3.7 million!

At least that’s what the Auditor General’s office has informed the public raising the alarm over the mismanagement of funds.

Surprisingly, as much as this ‘cow’ is one of the most expensive in history to be bought, it does not even come close to the Guinness Book of Records Holder.

That award goes to Misty, a Holstein cow!

At 12 years, the cow originates from Canada, and was sold for 1.2 million to the Royal Sale, Ontario.

According to the Breeder, Ms Bloyce Thompson:

“She’s the most valuable young cow in the world right now [and] is one of the top show cows in North America”.

She was also the Grand Champion of the 2009 Western Fall National Show.
