Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has been hitting headlines, for what is pretty much a rare occurrence in Kenya, it is for all the right reasons.
The county boss, who is serving his second and final term, has been applauded by Kenyans for being a reformist and industrial driven by getting the highest job approval rating with 55% and leading a county the way it is expected.
Some time back he strapped a baby on his back to mark the Day of the African Child on Saturday, June 16.
Kivutha is being hailed, for among others, implementing free Universal Health Care for his people especially the elderly, launching a fruit processing plant in a bid to promote farmers and agriculture in the dry county.
He recently put to work Kikima Dairy Plant enabling fresh milk production which processes and sells Makueni Fresh milk brand.
Good enough, Kivutha Kibwana has been taken through a ballistic audit process by the Auditor General. A very rare, random and close to impossible results that left many Kenyans in Awe were that he obtained a CLEAN AUDIT REPORT!
No corruption, no funds embezzlement. We are in dire need of such leaders who will not siphon the few coins allocated to county developments into their huge stomachs
