Th Kenyan MPs are not new to controversial demands. Despite the current escalating crisis in the country, the legislatures are hearing non as they team up together to push for an agenda that will see them live like the royal kings and queens of Africa!
This time they are rising more vicious, angrier, and hungry with their tongues wagging and breathing fire. The taxpayer is in trouble. The taxpayer will soon be breathing to death.
Kenyan MPs are taking no prisoners, no hostages, leaving no stone unturned with their greed 100 percent directed to the already emaciated taxpayer. They want to eat; they want to live happily and the taxpayer must fund them.
As Kenyans in Turkana, Baringo and 10 other counties die of hunger, Kenyan MPs want more from the hunger-stricken Kenyans; funds for their lavish lifestyles. To them, let the dying Kenyans die but the waheshimiwa must eat.
In their new demands, Kenyan MPs want the taxpayer to fund their stay in five-star hotels while in the city for “legislative business.”
According to the vicious MPs, their counterparts in New Zealand and India get at least 400,000 shillings every time they are within the city.
MPs want the Kenyan taxpayers to give them at least 400,000 shillings per day as they stay in five-star hotels during “parliamentary sessions.”
If their demands go through, each MP is likely to pocket at least 1.2 million shillings every week given that MPs meet at least three times a week.
According to our vicious MPs, they must be paid like their counterparts in New Zealand and India. This is not to mention that New Zealand is the least corrupt country, has the best healthcare, the best housing units for their citizens and the best education.
Currently, MPs are given a mortgage of up to 20 million shillings, which they say should be turned into grants so that they should not be compelled to pay back. These buffoons also enjoy several other benefits common Kenyans only dream about knowing too well that they are far-fetched.
Kenya currently has 416 Members of Parliament (349 in the National Assembly and 67 in the Senate) and with each one set to take home at least 1 million shillings a week, the taxpayer will be coughing out at least half a billion shillings per week.
Our hungry and angry MPs want the taxpayer to pay for a “reserved and exclusive eating zone for members and dignitaries’ equipped with the state of the art five-star treatment including chefs, cooks, and expensive cutlery.
The MPs want a special gym set up for them at parliamentary buildings. They want the gym equipped with the latest equipment. They want it to have a massage parlor, and guess who they want to massage them? Visually impaired professionals (ladies) specifically procured from Machakos Technical Institute for the Blind.
MPs want a gift shop to be constructed for them to be buying gifts for their ‘loved ones’ without mingling with the poor and stinking taxpayer in other shops.
They also want a club, which will be the “Members of Parliament” club with a state of the art underground parking for their fuel guzzlers.
MPs want the taxpayer to employ for them a health specialist in Parliament who will ensure that the honorable members live a healthy life and in a healthy environment. They want the establishment of a special committee that will be in charge of ensuring that areas around Parliament are clean and well maintained.
A Corrupt Country
There is no doubt Kenya is a corrupt country. Almost everyone within and without government seems to be on a looting spree. It is all about stealing with so much vigor that if Kenyans cannot stand firm and say “enough is enough”, the country will soon be no more.
Stats show that since the Jubilee government came to power, at least 6.6 trillion shillings have been looted. This is 10 times more than what Moi and his government stole in 24 years and 15 times more than what those in the Kibaki regime stole in 10 years.
No single corrupt person has been brought to book. Some, upon being arrested are set free by the courts. They use the same loot to buy their freedom. The country loses at least 1 trillion shillings each year, a third of her budget, to corruption.
Kenyans Dying of Hunger
More than 11 Kenyans have died as a result of hunger. Over 1.2 million of them are facing severe starvation in at least 12 counties. About 800,000 of those at the point of dying from hunger are from Turkana County.
The government as always lived in denial with the Deputy President, the son from Sugoi and who wants to occupy the house on the hill after Uhuru Kenyatta’s exit claiming that news on hunger is fake news.
During the day the hunger issue was being discussed in parliament, only a handful of MPs turned up for the sitting. The rest were busy touring the country, either campaigning for 2022 or insulting each other. Whenever it is time to discuss their salaries, the house is full.
The rains have now delayed coming. It might fail to rain completely, and if that happens, the farming cycle will be disrupted and we shall have more hunger. Our honorable members are not thinking about this. They are not talking about it. All they want is more money from the taxpayer for them to enjoy with their families, friends and their Slay Queens
