Manchester United Striker Romelu Lukaku has come out to publicly state that he is the best striker of all time, despite being only 25 years of age.

According to Lukaku, he is already far and away Belgian’s highest-ever goalscorer with 45, and the stats certainly back up his viewpoint.

Lukaku already has 45 international goals for his country, and is likely to score plenty more

Speaking to social media platform Otro, he said: ‘People sometimes ask me if I am one of the top three Belgian strikers of all time.

Yes, yes, yes, yes. I would even say that I am the best of all time. One kilometre ahead of anyone else, I’m telling you.

Lukaku has already played for Belgium for nine years; he is pictured back in October 2013

‘I’m No 1 on the national team scoring list, with 34 goals in my last 33 games. What can you tell me now?’

Lukaku made his senior international debut back in 2010 and has scored close to 50 goals in the last nine years.

He netted his first against Russia, and has been prolific in recent years, scoring a career-high 14 goals in 2018.

Eden Hazard is Lukaku’s nearest rival 15 goals behind.

but with the Chelsea star three years advanced you would expect him to get nowhere near his team-mate’s total.
