Governor Sonko rescues street woman from drugs’ jaws

The Ambassador of good deeds, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, has again extended his good hand in helping a street woman.

As drug abuse is on the rise in the Nairobi and in the whole country, the governor has insisted that he shall fight and help those in dire need of rehabilitation.

Sonko Rescue Team reinstated a youthful woman from Mathare area where she was using drugs.

The woman, Yasmin Fatuma, is currently undergoing treatment at the Mbagathi Hospital as she awaits transfer to a rehabilitation center.

“Drug abuse remains a major challenge to the youth in Nairobi and the country in general. Today my team managed to rescue a youthful woman from Mathare area where she was indulging in drug abuse leading to her being unproductive,” posted the governor.

Mike Sonko has continued with the dedication to help people in need and as an ambassador of good deeds.

Last month, he rescued a man who stole his baby from the hospital in order to dodge huge bill.

He, however, faces criticism of seeking ‘PR’ through assisting the poor of which he said “it’s not my first time to stand with the needy and I will not stop it because of your dirty mouth”.
