Kenyans online have lashed out at former TV anchor Julie Gichuru for shaming Kenyan newspapers.
The rage came after Julie Gichuru on Twitter called out local dailies for failing to center on the coverage of feted Nakuru teacher Peter Tabichi who won the Global Teacher Prize.
“The rest of the world has his story front and center but you don’t see the merit?” posed Julie to Kenyan media.
This was however met by backlash as Kenyans on Twitter claimed that she is part of the problems in this country because she was part of the ‘mediocre’ media before.
