Murder most foul as 6 decomposing bodies found dumped at major national park

Six bodies were on Tuesday found dumped at the Tsavo West National Park by Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) rangers.

According to a report filed at Kibwezi Police Station, two KWS rangers were on patrol at Kanga area within the park at around 1:45pm when they encountered a foul smell and sought the source.

Upon searching, they reportedly discovered the six bodies, which were naked and decomposing.

The bodies believed to be of African male adults were scattered around the park about a kilometer from the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Police officers from Mtito Andei Police Station as well as detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who visited the scene, believe the six were likely murdered elsewhere before being dunped in the park.

The bodies have since been transferred to Makindu Hospital mortuary for post-mortem and identification.
