Magoha boasts with gold during swearing as Uhuru watches closely

President Uhuru has Commended the new Education CS Prof Magoha for his appointment. Speaking during his swearing in, President Kenyatta said he looks forward to working with him and other stakeholders in implementing the new curriculum and ensuring the country achieves 100% transition from primary to secondary schools.

Magoha was the former KNEC boss and took over from Amina Mohamed who moved to Sports docket. Uhuru praised Magoha for his vast experience as a public servant which will be relied on in the prudent management of resources in the education sector.

Present during the swearing-in ceremony were Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, Chief of Staff and Head of Delivery Nzioka Waita among other senior government officials.

Prof. George Magoha was nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Presented in parliament for vetting where he affirmed he is the right man to reform the sector.

Speaking on NEMIS registration Magoha said that no child would be denied a chance to get an education. “Failure is not in my vocabulary, I have always excelled in what I do.”

During his speech he echoed the same words saying everything he touches turns to gold and failure is not in his vocabulary

Mr Kenyatta commended the new Education CS for his appointment, saying his wealth of experience as a long-serving public servant will be key to efficient management of the sector.

“We have worked with you in delivering credible exams. I am now counting on you on the 100 percent transition from primary to secondary schools, good management of resources and in implementing the new curriculum,” said Mr Kenyatta.
