People have very little knowledge about Homesexual, Transgender and intersex , most people assumes all of them are lesbians or gay but they aren’t.
However, an intersex person is an individual born with both male and female sex organs in a range of physical conditions. Sometimes they are also known as hermaphrodites.
In the same way, nature presents us with sex anatomy spectrums. Breasts, penises, clitorises, scrotums, labia, gonad all of these vary in size and shape and morphology. So-called “sex” chromosomes can vary quite a bit, too.
But in human cultures, sex categories get simplified into male, female, and sometimes intersex, in order to simplify social interactions, express what we know and feel, and maintain order.
So nature doesn’t decide where the category of “male” ends and the category of “intersex” begins, or where the category of “intersex” ends and the category of “female” begins. Humans decide.
Humans decide how small a penis has to be, or how unusual a combination of parts has to be, before it counts as intersex. Humans decide whether a person with XXY chromosomes or XY chromosomes and androgen insensitivity will count as intersex.
If the state adopts the report, it would mean there will be a new third gender called Intersex with the marker of the letter ‘I’ in addition to already recognised genders of female and male.
It is estimated that between 1.7 and 3.0 percent of the global population is intersex.
This means that there may be as many as 1,440,000 intersex persons in Kenya.
While Homosexual is romantic attraction, sexual attraction or sexual behavior between members of the same sex or gender.
As a sexual orientation, homosexuality is “an enduring pattern of emotional, romantic, and/or sexual attractions” to people of the same sex.
LGBT, or GLBT, is an initialism that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. In use since the 1990s, the term is an adaptation of the initialism LGB, which was used to replace the term gay in reference to the LGBT community beginning in the mid-to-late 1980s.
And Transgenders people have a gender identity or gender expression that differs from their assigned sex.
Some transgender people identify as transsexual if they desire medical assistance to transition from one sex to another.
A person’s internal sense of being male, female or something else is their gender identity. For cisgender, or non-transgender people, their gender identity matches their sex at birth. For transgender people, the two do not match.
This group of people faces stigmatization and discrimination in most countries.
