Siaya County Assembly has condoled with the grief-stricken family of the form 3 student at Sidok Secondary School who perished following last week’s accident involving a County Assembly vehicle.
The late Ephie Triezer was cycling back home from school on the fateful day.
Speaking in Nyadorera, Usonga Ward, the Siaya County Assembly Speaker Hon George Okode expressed sadness over the death and disclosed the County Assembly’s commitment to meet the funeral costs and also ensure the family is properly compensated for the loss.
“For no doubt, this was an unspeakable tragedy. I would like to express, on behalf of the Assembly arm of the County Government of Siaya, as well as in my own name, our deep condolences and our heartfelt solicitude to the family, friends and relatives of Ephie for this heartbreaking loss and anguish,” remarked the Speaker.
