Sancho drops Man Utd move hint before deleting the Tweet

Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho dropped a Manchester United transfer hint on Twitter – before quickly deleting the evidence by undoing his re-tweet.

The youngster is a Red Devils target ahead of the summer transfer window, and has been linked with a £100million move to Old Trafford.

Sancho could make his first competitive start for England in their opening Euro 2020 qualifier against the Czech Republic on Friday.

Ahead of the match Rio Ferdinand spoke out about the youngster, explaining why he would love to see him turn out for his former club Manchester United in the near future.

Ferdinand told Goal: “I would take him [at Manchester United] all day. English, young, hungry and talented, that’s all I need to know.”

He added: “I have known Jadon since he was a kid, knew him through friends. I have known his family since he was a kid, before he was even born.

“He has got the mentality. The mentality is a big part of it all, whether he has the physical attributes or not.”

Goal shared the story on Twitter, writing: “Ferdinand would love to see Sancho in a Manchester United shirt.”

Sancho spotted the social media post and decided to give it a re-tweet – apparently endorsing Ferdinand’s comment.

The former Manchester City star quickly deleted his re-tweet, but not before a screen shot – obtained by the Metro – captured the post.
