Tension ensued the state after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s social media pages were deleted from the internet.
Both his Facebook and Twitter accounts are no longer accessible.
This is not the first time suspicious activity has been noted on the president’s social media handles.
President Kenyatta boasted the most followers on both Twitter among African Heads of State.
In return, State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita tweeted to clarify on the events that led tothe suspension of the Head of State’s social media account terming it as a potential attempted hack:
On account of unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta .All official social media handles for the President have been temporarily suspended to allow for the necessary remedial measures to be undertaken.
