It is the new age and tradition to flaunt your bae openly on social media so that everyone knows that you are dating.
Is this a common occurrence among men of power? Or are they just not all about the public display of affection or rather spousal recognition on social media?
That is not so for deputy president William Ruto . as his twitter handle does not reciprocate what his wife has posted about him. @MamaRachelRuto as she calls herself on twitter claims the deputy president openly as her husband.

Ruto is not the only one who might have left out such important information.Hillary Clinton is another victim of the same. Her husband’s bio did not mention him being a husband and that sparked conversation about how women identify themselves in the society.
After Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi pointed out this observation, she changed her bio and removed the “wife” as her opening title. Her new twitter handle then read:
Ruto on the other hand has no mention of being married to his wife and his bio is very official and and only reads:
“Deputy President, Republic of Kenya”
