The Deputy President William Ruto has today eulogized the late Zambian envoy to Kenya, Muntemba as an astute diplomat.
Capital FM Reports indicate that the Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Macharia Kamau confirmed Muntemba died at the Nairobi Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where she was receiving treatment.
The accident occurred in Lukenya when a trailer collided head-on with the vehicle carrying her together with Botswana’s ambassador to Kenya Duke Lephoko who survived the crash.
Prior to her appointment as High Commissioner, Muntemba served as Southern Province Police Commissioner and Chief Program Officer at UNESCO in Zambia.
Muntemba also served as the Zambia Police Service spokesperson.
William Ruto says that Muntemba was a diplomat who endeavored to strengthen Kenya-Zambia relations and broaden the collaboration of the two countries.
Ruto sent his sincere condolences to the people of Zambia following her passing and his prayer is that God may grant her family grace to bear the loss.
