A tweet which seemed to target corrupt government officials in his administration,President Kenyatta’s social media handles were hacked leading to temporary suspension of both his Facebook and Twitter platforms of communicating.
State House Chief of Staff, Nzioka Waita, announced that “On account of unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, all official social media handles for the President have been temporarily suspended to allow for the necessary remedial measures to be undertaken.”
The president said in a tweet that he wont slow down in his war on corruption and it will not matter who is invloved,whether they are his brothers,his sister or close politicall ally,he will fight you.
”If you are corrupt we will fight you.You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally but if you are corrupt we will fight you.I wont be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity,” read the tweet,which had taken a jab at Ruto,Uhuru’s closest political ally.
The president’s official social media have been suspended to allow for necessary remedial measures to be taken.
