Controversial televangelist David Kariuki Ngare, popularly known as Gakuyo, is accused of running the sacco single handedly hence putting its over 50,000 members’ interests in danger.
Another bigger scandal in Kericho has now forced the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji, direct the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to investigate the looting of Kericho based Imarisha Sacco.
The source which appeared on social media proved DPP Noordin Haji demanded the investigations after five members of the Sacco sent a dossier dated 22nd October 2018 seeking the office to salvage their Sacco from the verge of collapsing.
The complaint dossier, reveals among other things, allegations of serious corruption, embezzlement by leaders of the Sacco including the board of directors, Chief executive officer, Internal auditor and officials of Kericho county Co-operative.
