Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu has found himself between a rock and hard place as section of angered MCAs of the yesterday aftermath at the County Assembly are plotting to file a motion of impeachment.
The MCAs are accusing Waititu of running dubious projects that adds no value to electorates.
Waititu has been accused of misappropriation of more than sh 356 million through his Kaa sober programme that aimed to rehabilitate the drug addicts.
Its reported that the governor used the salary kitty to run unauthorized project by the county assembly.
Earlier the governor had said that the County uses about 2 million daily to run the projects though the logistical documentation was missing.
Ndenderu MCA Solomon Kinuthia was among the members who found themselves on the receiving end after a number of his colleagues rained blows on him and even tore his jacket during the chaos which lasted for close to ten minutes as the Speaker watched.
Ikinu Ward Rep Stanley Kiarie said the report highlighted massive misappropriation of money by the executive and that the move to hurriedly pass it was a cover-up plot intended to ensure that the House does not scrutinize it.
Limuru East MCA Karuga Ngigi, who is also the chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee has said that Waititu move to split MCAs in the assembly was meant to create conspiracy to ensure the report pass.
If the motion for impeachment will be presented to the County assembly more drama will ensued as his allies try to defend him.
