DPP Noordin Haji addressed land issues in Lamu County

Earlier today, DPP Noordin Haji has expressed his concern over land issues in Lamu county.

The DPP assured that they will work closely with the Director of criminal investigation to probe & prosecute those alleged to have disinherited locals of their ancestral land

DPP who was speaking at Hindi area of Lamu county promised to ensure thorough investigations to establish if money had changed hands to issue title deeds to underserving individuals at expense of genuine land owners.

Noordin Haji made these remarks during the organized Lamu service week which kicked off on Monday 18/3/19 at Mkunguni grounds

DPP had earlier announced that the week is aimed at bringing justice closer to Lamu people and enhancing access to justice through expeditious disposal of court cases.

In the course of the week, Noordin Haji also sensitized the public on newly developed DPP prosecution tools which include plea bargaining & diversion agreements.

Other top official who accompanied Noordin Haji for the Lamu service week include the DCI George Kinoti and Interior CS Fred Matiangi
