Embattled Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich’s sister Ednah Rotich features prominently in dubious Dam deals in three counties of Nandi, Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo-Marakwet.
It has been established that using her brother’s influence in the corridors of power, her events firm Rose N’ Roses has won lucrative events tenders.
To be awarded the tenders, she claims that she would help the counties finance departments to be given priority by the National Treasury to help her firm’s invoices paid using the influence of the brother.

However, despite over quotations in her tendering, even denying those who have quoted less to do business, she is said to mistreat, overwork and underpay her staff.
Sources privy to the on-goings revealed that she landed events tenders at Kerio Valley Development Authority courtesy of MD David Kimosop. She thus has monopolized government departments and parastatals and enjoys monopoly in all events tender awards.
An interrogation of records at the Kenya Revenue Authority establishes that her firm has been evading taxes.
On her company’s website, she has listed Central Bank of Kenya, Uasin Gishu County Government, Turkana County Government as some of the Sponsors and Partners of the Rose N’ Roses Events Solution.
Last year in August, she organized an event in Lodwar courtesy of Governor Josphat Nanok where he parted with Shs80million for a two day cultural festivals.
This is despite the county being one of the most hit by the on going drought, in what experts term as a total wastage of county funds.
