Why Neno evangelism’s pastor Ng’ang’a was arrested yesterday

For the last close to two weeks, Self proclaimed ‘Mighty prophet of God’ prophet Dr. Owuor had been trending for the usual bad things and this time round it was because of a family that was claiming that one of their family members had become bankrupt after being brainwashed leaving his profession and becoming his ardent follower.

One thing led to another and a thousands of revelations were made about the man of cloth one of them being that he took property belonging to the said lady and it is on this basis that fellow church leaders came to his defence after several attacks from the media.

Televangelist James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism will be arraigned in court on Monday after he was arrested for threatening Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai.

According to police, Ng’ang’a was picked up from his church at the junction of Haile Selassie Avenue and Uhuru Highway Sunday night and locked up at Muthaiga Police Station after Kaikai complained he felt threatened following video footage the pastor produced attacking him.

The row started after Kaikai, who is a panellist on the News Gang show, called for regulation of pastors who he referred to as spiritual fraudsters profiting off unsuspecting Kenyans.

In subsequent video that went viral last week, the pastor, dressed in military-like fatigue and calling himself a Chief General Commander threatened unexplained consequences believed to be directed at Kaikai.
