Three Premier League forwards Rashford admires

The Premier League boasts some of the world’s greatest strikers – and Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has revealed his top three.

Rashford is in fine form this season, having notched 12 goals and nine assists as United eye a top-four finish and chase Champions League glory.

His form is partly thanks to interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has given Rashford a central role following his arrival as Jose Mourinho’s replacement in December.

Rashford no doubt has ambitions to become a world-class striker, and he’s now revealed the three Premier League stars he looks to learn from.

“I think, probably the most all-round centre forward, is Sergio Aguero,” he told GQ Hype .

“Even on an off day, he can score you three or four goals. That, for me, is one trait of a centre forward that I would take all day long.

“When you’re not having a good game, but you’re still scoring goals. That is a skill on its own.

“Also Harry Kane, his positioning, his movement – very clever player. I like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well.”

Surprisingly, Mohamed Salah isn’t among the names despite the Liverpool star netting 17 league goals this season – the same tally as Kane and Aubameyang.

Only Aguero, the Manchester City star, has more Premier League goals than Salah, Kane and Aubameyang this season.

Speaking of stars, boyhood United fan Rashford also opened up on who were his Old Trafford heroes growing up.

“I think for me, [Ryan] Giggsy, Nicky Butt, [Paul] Scholesy, Gary Neville – they’ve been the example to a lot of the young ones coming up, and they’ll be forever that,” he added.

“So they hold special value, probably, to every academy player at United.

“Then for me it was the players like [Wayne] Rooney, [Cristiano] Ronaldo. [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy was very good.”
