The reason why Aguero cuts off his socks

Manchester City have been drawn against Brighton in the semifinal of the FA Cup.

The Sky Blues booked their spot in the final four after a comeback win against Swansea on Saturday.

Swansea, who play in the Championship, stormed into a 2-nil lead over Pep Guardiola’s side.

However Man City turned the scoreline around with a second half comeback.

Helped out by a lack of VAR at the Liberty Stadium, Bernardo Silva and a double from Sergio Aguero proved decisive.

Sergio Aguero’s socks trigger injury fears

Sergio Aguero was introduced for Riyad Mahrez in the 64th minute of Saturday’s FA Cup tie.

When the Argentine stepped on the pitch, many people took notice of his socks.

Aguero had clearly cut off the bottom of his socks.

Looking for an explanation as to why Aguero’s socks were different to his teammates, the good people at Footy Headlines have triggered an injury concern for the South American star:

It was by not the first time that Sergio Agüero stood out with his socks style – he has been using socks upside down in January 2019.

The reason for Aguero for cutting off his socks is very likely that it gives him more freedom while also reducing calf pressure.

Man City fans will be please Aguero now gets to rest during the international break.
