The Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya organizing secretary Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa wants the Kenyan government to ban an Australian senator and any of his family members from ever stepping foot in Kenya, over his terror remarks.
The cleric also stated that the senator did not deserve to live among other people and should be taken to The Hague.
Queensland senator Fraser Anning issued a statement via social media blaming Muslim immigration on the terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand, on Friday, which left 50 people dead.
“Does anyone still dispute the link between Muslim immigration and violence? “As always, left-wing politicians and the media will rush to claim that the causes of today’s shootings lie with gun laws or those who hold nationalist views, but this is all cliched nonsense.
“The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place, “Anning’s tweet read.
The senator’s remarks drew sharp criticism from many people, including UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid who accused the senator of stoking extremism.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Monday called the Queensland Senator’s comments “a disgrace”.
The human rights group Haki Africa stated that terrorism was a global phenomenon that had no religion.
“It is perpetuated by persons of different faiths and its victims are also persons of different faiths,” it commented.
On Saturday, a 17-year-old boy, Will Connolly, smashed an egg on to the head of the controversial politician in protest, as he spoke to media at a far-right rally in Moorabbin, Melbourne.
