One of the biggest challenges the nation is facing currently is the mismanagement of funds by leaders overseeing government projects who decide to manipulate public money into their own pockets.
Education ministry under its new expected tough boss professor George Magoha has laid down a technical method through which these games will not pull through.
A computerized accounting system will ensure that allocated funds are well used, Education Cabinet Secretary nominee George Magoha has said.
Magoha said the new system, which he will help install when he moves to Jogoo House, will track every penny released from the ministry’s headquarters and ensure it is put to good use.
This is one of the measures he will put in place for efficiency in the ministry.
Magoha, who was vetted by Parliament last week, was addressing Pioneer School education day in Murang’a county on Saturday.
The outgoing chairman of the Kenya National Examinations Council asked stakeholders in the sector to support him in streamlining education.
“I am not Jesus Christ, I will give the strategy but we need to work together,” he said.
