FA Semi-finals; Who is going to take the cup home when only one giant is in the race?

The English football is considered one of the most competitive league in Europe, with its ups and down, but Manchester City seems to defy all odds and going for a triple or quadruple.

Manchester City, the most competitive team for the Premier League after Liverpool who have exited the FA have been drawn to play Brighton in the FA Cup semi-finals while Watford will take on Wolves.

The semi-final ties will be held at Wembley and take place on the weekend of 6 April. 

City secured their place in the last four after coming from behind at Swansea to win 3-2. Brighton, meanwhile, edged past Millwall on penalties after their quarter-final tie ended 2-2 following extra-time.

City and Brighton both had to produce dramatic late comebacks to ensure their spot in the last four.

The Premier League champions were 2-0 down at Swansea before scoring three in the second half to crush the Championship side.

Meanwhile Brighton appeared to be crashing out after falling two goals behind at Millwall.

But Jurgen Locadia set up a grandstand finish before a horrible goalkeeping error by David Martin ensured the game went into extra-time and penalties.

Jake Cooper missed the vital spot-kick for the home side to spark mass celebration from Brighton’s players and fans.

Watford edged past Crystal Palace as they go in search of their first FA Cup final since 1984.

Watford knocked out London rivals Crystal Palace, winning 2-1 at Vicarage Road, while Wolves stunned Manchester United in a lively 2-1 win on Saturday evening bringing it to three,the number of matches in all competitions Ole Gunnar Sollskjaer has lost since replacing Mourinho .

Pep Guardiola’s men stand as favourites to lift the Cup, with the side on course to secure a historic quadruple as they continue to juggle the demands of European and domestic football.
