Controversial Pastor Ng’ang’a in hot soup over threats to Citizen TV’s Linus Kaikai

Televangelist James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism was picked up from his church at the junction of Haile Sellasie Avenue and Uhuru Highway and locked up at Muthaiga Police Station. The arrest came after Citizen journalist Kaikai had complained he felt threatened following video footage that the pastor produced attacking him.

Incase you are not in the know, Linus Kaikai had urged the government to regulate churches, their pastors and ensure they have relevant papers such as certificates of good conduct and university degrees. The journalist used Rwanda as an example claiming just like the country, the government should not allow the so called preachers on the pulpit before presenting their theology studies degrees.

In a viral video released last week, the pastor, dressed in military-like fatigue and calling himself a “Chief General Commander” threatened unexplained “consequences” believed to be directed at Kaikai. The controversial Pastor Ngang’a took to his official Facebook account on Sunday, March 10, and  picked issue with the Citizen TV boss Linus Kaikai who claimed men of God needed to observe the law of the land. According to the preacher, one did not need to be well educated to stand before a congregation and share the Gospel.

Ng’ang’a was picked up from his church after Kaikai had complained he felt threatened following video footage that the pastor produced attacking him. Police said Ng’ang’a will be arraigned in court later on Monday.

Kaikai, who is a panelist in one of the news show, News Gang, went viral with his take seeking to regulate pastors he referred to as spiritual fraudsters and are profiting off unsuspecting Kenyans. This prompted Ng’ang’a to shoot his video with the attacks aimed at Kaikai.
