Cesar Azpilicueta’s Chelsea Europa League warning

Chelsea travelled to Everton on Sunday, March 17th as they looked to close the gap on the top four.

If Maurizio Sarri’s side beat Everton they would have moved level on points with 4th place Arsenal and above Man United.

Chelsea did start Sunday’s clash very brightly and probably should have gone in at half time one or two goals up.

They did not though and would be punished four minutes into the second half as Richarlison gave Everton the lead.

Gylfi Sigurdsson then finished the game off, making it 2-0 in the 72nd minute.

After a poor showing vs Everton, Cesar Azpilicueta has sent a warning to Chelsea about relying on the Europa League.

The Blues are in the quarter-final of said competition and have perhaps the easiest draw in the last eight.
